Pile Joints

A Centrum Pile is a Tested Pile

The Centrum Pile System can be easily and quickly extended when required using a robust mechanical interlocking joint cast into the pile segment. The pile joints used by Centrum Pile Limited are recognised as being the strongest, most durable pile joint available.

Manufactured by our Danish factory, the pile joints are designed in such a way that in regards to moment stiffness, traction and pressure bearing capacity the jointed piles perform the same as single sections. This ensures that you can reach the required depth for almost any piled foundation solution.

Check out our video from our Danish factory's production unit to see how the pile joints are made.

As standard, we offer two types of pile joint. The Class A joint and the Class D joint. If needed, joints can be produced to specifications.

The Class A joint mechanism

Manufactured to BS EN 12794, the A Joint actually pretensions the connection between the pile segments to be joined, thereby inhibiting the ingress of water or corrosive agents. Continuous development has recently resulted in a new generation of Class A joint.

Class D Joint Single Pin

The Class D joint has been introduced for the 200/250/300mm square piles and manufactured to the same high standards. This joint is more economical for use where lateral tension is not an issue.
